Altas Cumbres

Is our collection of young and expressive wines. They display a delicate balance of fruit and acidity, so they can be paired with a variety of foods and everyday enjoyment. Each varietal is true to its classic characteristics, with a consistently smooth and fruit-forward profile.
The red wines are Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, 30% of them are aged in oak, achieving balance and flavor. The white wines are Sauvignon Blanc and Torrontés. The line is completed with a sparkling wine, Altas Cumbres Extra Brut.

*Except Torrontés which is made from grapes from a vineyard in Cafayate, Salta, owned by another producer who shares our own quality standards.

Red

Varietal Composition

100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Vineyard

Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo – Mendoza. Planted in 2006 and 2007. Altitude 980 masl.

Vineyard Structure/Yield

High vine training. Drip irrigation. Cordon pruning with spurs. Average yield: 90-100 q/ha.

Fermentation process

Traditional under low temperature with previous pressing. In stainless steel tanks, with selected yeast, and controlled temperature under 17°C. Without Malolactic fermentation.

Aging

30% of the wine spent between 3-5 months in oak barrels (50% French and 50% American).

Storage in bottle

Up to 5 years since the harvest year.

Tasting notes

COLOR: Ruby red with purple hues.

AROMA: Very fresh and spicy nose. Good presence of fresh red fruits.

FLAVOR: Firm tannins, excellent acidity and very good grip on the palate. Medium in structure, with character and balanced

Ideal to enjoy with meats, cheeses and dishes with heavy sauces.
