Henry

This is Bodega Lagarde´s iconic flagship wine. It is a complex and elegant full bodied red wine. It is produced with grapes from low yield harvests, with long maceration. The wine is aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels. After this maturation is complete, the wine is bottled and left in stowage for a full year before release. The first harvest of Henry Gran Guarda began in 1990, which marked the beginning of a unique and irreplaceable collection of vertical harvests of one of the most renowned red wines made in Argentina.

Tasting notes
COLOR: Intense dark red, with violet hues
AROMA: There are aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries, fresh herbs and spicy notes, with elegant contributions of French oak, all these different nuances reveal a complexity that will increase with the passage of time in the bottle
FLAVOR: very good volume on entry, it is unctuous, fine tannic texture, with good grip and a monolithic structure that fills the mouth. It is very long and persistent.
Pairing Suggestion
For this great structured and complex wine, it can be matched with roasted red meats, lamb or strong cheeses. Also with dishes rich in flavors, such as stews or casseroles. The complexity of the wine balances well with foods that have intense flavors and a good amount of fat.
