Lagarde

The Lagarde wines is our collection of our one hundred percent varietals wines. This range includes the following wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Viognier, Chardonnay and a rosé wine made from Malbec and Pinot Noir. In 2020, we incorporated a Red Blend to the range for the first time. Raised for 8 to 12 months in oak, these red wines reach a delicate balance between fruit and a sophisticated palate.

Vineyard

Luján de Cuyo - Mendoza. Plantados en: 1992, 1993, 1998 y 2003. Altitud: 850 y 980 msnm.

Vineyard Structure/Yield

High trellis. Drip irrigation. Cordon pruning with pitons. Average yields: 90-100 qq/ha.

Fermentation process

In stainless steel tanks with daily pumping over and controlled temperature below 30 °C. Maceration lasts between 15 and 20 days, depending on daily tastings. Malolactic fermentation occurs spontaneously.

Aging

50% of the wine spent 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting notes

COLOR: • Dark and bright red

AROMA: • Red fruits, spices, tobacco and some menthol notes.

FLAVOR: Very good volume, concentrated and long and persistent finish.

It is ideal with grilled meats, Portobello mushrooms and cheeses such as aged
Gouda or Cheddar
