Lagarde

The Lagarde wines is our collection of our one hundred percent varietals wines. This range includes the following wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Viognier, Chardonnay and a rosé wine made from Malbec and Pinot Noir. In 2020, we incorporated a Red Blend to the range for the first time. Raised for 8 to 12 months in oak, these red wines reach a delicate balance between fruit and a sophisticated palate.

Varietal Composition
100% Merlot.
Vineyard
Luján de Cuyo – Mendoza. Planted in 1983, 1998. Altitude 980 mamsl.
Vineyard Structure/Yield
High vine training. Drip irrigation. Cordon pruning with spurs. Average yield: 90-100 q/ha.
Fermentation process
In stainless steal tanks with daily pumpovers and a controlled temperature under 30 °C. The maceration lasts between 12 and 18 days, depending on daily tastings. The Malolactic fermentation is spontaneous.
Aging
A 50% of the wine spent 8 to 10 months in French oak barrels.
Storage in bottle
Over 5 years.

Tasting notes
COLOR: intense ruby ​​red color with burgundy shades.
AROMA: aromas of ripe red and black fruits and jams. Some notes of black olives and eucalyptus.
FLAVOR: smooth and elegant, well structured, round and persistent.
Pairing Suggestion
Ideal to pair with game meats, such as rabbit or lamb, and hard cheeses. It also goes very well with barbecue.
